Amazon Hank HQ: Restoring a Landmark + Revitalizing Downtown

In collaboration with WRNS Studios, and EGG Office, I developed a strategic environmental graphics program that leveraged the historic Lord & Taylor building’s legacy. Embracing the concept of woven fabric pattern, we created an approach to the building that not only celebrated the factory in its original state but that also wove together Amazon’s brand DNA in order to realize the retail giant’s newest NYC headquarters.

Each of 12 workplace floors features a graphic identity that fits into the larger building construct, embracing an iconic fabric weave per floor to imbue a sense of place and subliminal wayfinding; graphic systems worked in unison across floor, glass, and wall applications.
